Senior Lecturer and Course Leader - Aviation

BSc (Hons) MSc PGCE MCMI SFHEA

Sam is a Senior Lecturer in Aviation at the University of Bedfordshire Business School and is Course Leader of the BSc (Hons) Aviation and Airport Management degree programme.

Prior to working in the higher education sector, he worked at various tour operators and airports in and around Europe. More recently, Sam was a warranted Police Officer for West Midlands Police, based on the Airport Policing Unit (APU) at Birmingham Airport.

Sam completed his undergraduate degree in BSc (Hons) Aviation Management and postgraduate degree in MSc Air Transport Management, both at Coventry University. He holds a PGCE in Education from Buckinghamshire New University. Sam is a member of the Chartered Management Institute (CMI) and a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (SFHEA).

Sam brings his industry experience into his teaching on a range of modules, including ‘Aviation Safety and Security’, ‘Managing People in Aviation and Tourism’ and ‘Global Airline, Airport and Cargo Operations Management’.
