Academic Entry Requirements

Academic requirements for undergraduate (3 Years) programmes

At least one of the following:

  • 2 A level passes (minimum C and D)
  • OR Successfully complete Foundation year (from a recognised university or HE institution)
  • OR Successfully pass Year 12 with overall average marks of 80% or above
  • Additional course requirements if any (see Faculty Course Requirements)

Advance level (credit transfer) academic requirement for undergraduate programmes

  • Successfully completed 1 or 2 year (from a recognised university or HE institution) OR/AND
  • Successfully completed 2.5 year Diploma from a Technical institution (Assessment of transcripts / additional qualifications by IO (or by Faculty or Department if appropriate) for direct entry into levels 2 or 3

Academic requirement for taught postgraduate MSc / MA / LLM's programmes

  • A successful completion of a 3 year undergraduate degree or equivalent with a min of 2.25 CGPA (from a recognised university or HE institution)
  • Students with less than the above marks may be accepted with suitable work experience or additional qualifications
  • Course requirements if any (see Faculty Course Requirements)

Academic requirement for an MBA programme

  • A successful completion of a 3 year undergraduate degree or equivalent with a min of 2.25 CGPA (from a recognised university or HE institution)
  • Students with less than the above marks may be accepted with suitable work experience or additional qualifications

There is also a £500 scholarship available for those who pay full fees before or at registration, and a postgraduate £500 merit scholarship available for those scoring 60% and above marks in their academic subjects with an average IELTS score of 6.0 with 5.5 in each band. There is also a further £500 for applicants who are also University of Bedfordshire alumni.

*Please note the international fee for BSc Nursing with Registered Nurse (Adult) and MSc Nursing with Registration (Adult) has an additional £1,400 payable per annum for the provision of placement.

**Please note that applicants to these programmes are currently not eligible to receive our £500 Merit scholarship.
