IELTS Preparation Courses

IELTS Preparation Courses can be intensive and sector specific. They prepare participants towards the goal of achieving 7.0 IELTS or higher in all four language skills; reading, writing, speaking and listening.

Their impact can be truly transformative for participants. One example is the recent IELTS preparation course delivered at The Luton & Dunstable Hospital over a 12-week period to 15 members of their existing workforce.

Achieving 7.0 in all skills is sufficient for them to be entitled to register as nurses in the UK. This course received excellent survey feedback from participants, as well as being considered vital to their needs by hospital management.

The programme has helped me so much in reading and writing, which I struggled with a lot. I believe it will help me with my plans for the future and my career in nursing specifically.

The course has really improved my writing skills. I have studied and worked in India, and now I want to become a qualified nurse here, and this course will help me to achieve my goal. Hopefully I will score an overall 7 in IELTS.

The training has helped me develop proper usage of grammar and constructing good sentences. It will definitely further my career. It’s basically required to register as a nurse.

My reading and writing has improved. I learned lots I didn’t know about grammar. I’m using the skills I’ve learned daily, so I believe it has helped me in life as well as my career, because I need this to register as a nurse.

The programme has helped mostly in my writing and reading, and it’s great practice for speaking. Passing the test will give me the opportunity to work in the UK as a nurse, and this is what I want to do.

I deal with patients every day so communication is very important. This programme helped me improve my communication skills in all areas. I’m still working on my listening – people here speak with different accents! This is definitely a benefit for my future. I may stay on until I retire, and I will definitely be dealing with people, patients and staff alike, so I need to constantly improve my English. I have the potential to do more.
