Bedfordshire EU and International Foundation Year

The Bedfordshire Foundation Course is designed to help you with the language and broad subject content to address a language or academic shortfall. The course combines English language, study skills for university, and IT skills, which will help you progress on to your main degree programme.

The course aims to take people from an overall IELTS 4.5 up to IELTS 5.5, or above, which is the minimum requirement for UG courses at Bedfordshire. As well as the language element, the Foundation Year programme provides you with subject-specific and English language lessons to prepare you for studies in your chosen field.

Minimum enrolment age: The University is committed to equal opportunities in its admissions. All applications are considered on individual academic merit, occasionally the University admits students who are under the age of 18.

In addition to the English Language elements, study skills support will familiarise you with the conventions of British university life. For more information on the subjects and other details, see the relevant Course Information Form (CIF) by following the link of the programme you wish to study.
