Research at CIBAM takes an inter-disciplinary focus that stretches from International Business to Social psychology, Marketing and Destination studies, and several other disciplines. The inter-disciplinary perspective constitutes a key feature of research at CIBAM. More specifically, CIBAM has a strong interest in and encourages research on place and product branding, issues of image and identity, cross-cultural consumer behaviour, international business and entrepreneurship, and marketing communications, in both traditional and digital contexts.
Research at CIBAM is supported by research active staff who publish world-leading research. Staff regularly publish in peer reviewed journals and books, as well as participate in national and international conferences. The centre also supports doctoral research with a growing cohort of research students engaged in inter-disciplinary research. Research at CIBAM is part of a larger research culture that is reinforced by a well-established research training system at both research centre and institute levels.
