Specialist areas of research

We combine the specialist areas of health services research, clinical practice, psychology and biomedicine to deliver multidisciplinary solutions and developments in key areas of health policy and practice.

Our research focuses on responding to the challenges of improving the health and wellbeing of our local communities and the global population. It attracts funding from established and well known organisations such as the National Institute for Health Research, The Department of Health, The European Union, Kidney Research UK and many more.

Specialist facilities

Our specialist facilities allow us to use current, emerging and innovative technologies in our work, ensuring that we provide the best value possible to the communities and practitioners whose lives are improved by our research.

We work with governments, charities and the NHS to produce new approaches to dealing with health issues old and new.

Our Institute for Health Research is a partner of the National Institute for Health Research and the East of England Research Design Service.

We provide research advice, training and support for the NHS and are a recognised accredited centre for the Royal Society of Public Health.
