UKSPF: Luton Sustainability Business Support Programme
The Luton Sustainability Business Support Programme, delivered by the University of Bedfordshire, is a new comprehensive project which marks a strategic investment in local businesses operating within Luton and is funded by the UK Shared Prosperity Fund (UKSPF)
The programme offers support for Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises (SMEs) to reduce their carbon footprint and foster sustainable growth, whilst also supporting the Council’s aim to be carbon neutral by 2040.
UKSPF is a central pillar of the UK government’s Levelling Up agenda and provides £2.6 billion of funding for local investment by March 2025. The fund aims to improve pride in place and increase life chances across the UK investing in communities and place, supporting local business, and people and skills.
From fully-funded participation in short courses to personalised 1-2-1 consultancy sessions, businesses will receive tailored support from industry experts to address the challenges to be more sustainable and help create a greener economy.

- 1-2-1 consultancy
- Development of effective travel plans to reduce your impact on the environment
- Access to expert-led workshops to develop your green marketing strategies & implement lean thinking methodologies
