Clear and precise job descriptions are crucial, for both you as an employer and for job applicants.

Not only does a well written job description and person specification help you to hire the right candidate, it also serves as an advert for your company.

When you specify exact qualifications, experience levels and skills, only those who fit the criteria will apply. The more detailed the description, the better the quality of your applicants, and the more likely it is they will know if the job is right for them.

Our experienced Careers Consultants can support you with writing your job descriptions and ensuring that you target the right students or graduates when using Handshake or engaging with them in other ways such as delivering webinars.

Once your account is set up, you can start posting job vacancies.

  1. Click on Jobs from your home dashboard and then Create a Job
Create a Job on the Jobs dashboard
  2. Complete the required fields including job type, role description, hours and rate of pay. There is also an opportunity to upload an attachment if required.
  3. Post your job!

Students can also connect with your brand and organisation in a meaningful way and ask live questions, see offices, and interact with employees in real time.
