About the course

The digital transformation of business is gaining momentum at a fast pace and graduates who can bring together business management skills with an in-depth understanding of digital and data analysis are much sought after. This practice-led course equips you to follow an exciting career in data-driven business environments.

Our BSc Business Analytics degree provides a thorough grounding in digital and data-analysis skills and decision-making, applying theory to real-life applications and business situations from the start. It equips you to develop as a data-driven solutions architect, able to facilitate the digital transformation of business and thrive in a data-led world.

The course covers marketing and management principles; principles of data analysis using programming; soft approaches to analyse complex systems; data modelling and analytics.

This course is in the process of receiving accreditation by British Computer Society (BCS) www.bcs.org. On successfully completing the course, you receive its credential for Chartered IT Professional. BSC is recognised as a professional, statutory and regulatory body for the accreditation of technology degrees in the UK.

  • At least 104 points which should include three A levels at C or above
  • At least 104 points with Merit Merit Merit in BTEC Extended Diploma or Distinction* Distinction* in the BTEC Diploma or Distinction Merit Merit in a BTEC Extended Diploma
  • A completed Access to Higher Education Diploma
  • Equivalent qualifications such as Irish Leaving Certificate, OCR Nationals, International Baccalaureate and CACHE Level 3 awards.

How will this course improve my career prospects?

On this course, you develop specific skills and knowledge in the area of data analytics and business management that allow you, upon graduation, to follow a career as a data consultant able to offer business solutions using data-driven, evidence-based analysis. The course will help you prepare for opportunities to become data analysis specialist in the area of marketing, finance and operations across a wider range of service sectors.

The full-time standard undergraduate tuition fee for the Academic Year 2024/25 is £9,250 per year. You can apply for a loan from the Government to help pay for your tuition fees.
