My name is Hazel, a proud international student studying a Master of Arts in International Social Welfare and Social development at the University of Bedfordshire. I must say that coming from Zimbabwe, my studies with this University have rattled me to the core. While I have had my own share of challenges, they can not be compared to the amazing experience and exposure that the University of Bedfordshire has availed to me. I have enjoyed my studies in international development in relation to forced migration, humanitarian aid and social work in different countries. At the same time, the University offered vast resources in the seven storeys library offering silent study rooms, groups work study areas, cafe and presentations practice rooms. In addition, the university has amazing student support, careers team and great international staff that support international students throughout their study with the University.

To sum up, from the amazing and dedicated stuff to vast resources and university facilities, the Uni of Beds will inspire you to become the gem that you are!!

Honestly, not recommending this University to anyone would be entirely selfish of me. The University of Bedfordshire is the PLACE to be!!!

My overall experience has been fantastic so far! I've made a great group of friends because my class is so huge, and we have a laugh with the tutors. I have excelled my expectations with grades and achieved B's and B+'s in my first semester thanks to my tutors help and the content they deliver. The lessons are completely related to the job you want to do, and the course has made Me rethink what career I want to do because it takes you down so many higher paying jobs! I've learnt contemporary and social skills that will benefit me in my future career and its only been first year! No one is judgemental which is great because I like to dress in all colours usually, but you can literally be yourself as the uni is inclusive and diverse. During the coronavirus, teaching has remained and all tutors have been in regular contact to make sure I'm OK and if I need any help. They’ve even worked out of hours to provide one to one support to get me through assignments! Really gone above and beyond! All materials have still be accessible.
