Learning and Teaching Support Agreement (L&TSA)

An L&TSA is the document that inform departments within the University of the adjustments that are necessary to help you to overcome the effects of your disability on your education.

Your advisor will draw up a draft document with you as soon as evidence of your difficulty has been received. The L&TSA will detail the agreed adjustments required to be put in place by your academic department (e.g. provision of handouts, directed reading lists, recording of lectures) and by the examinations office (e.g. extra time in written examinations and assessments, reader, scribe, PC).

The agreement will also outline the DSA-funded support (e.g. study skills support, mentors, BSL interpreters) where applicable.

Once you have agreed the content of the agreement, both you and your advisor will sign the document and you will be given a copy to keep.

By signing the document you will have given written permission for the document to be sent to University departments responsible for putting in place the agreed adjustments.

The L&TSA can be reviewed at any time during your course should your support-needs change.
