Fourth Transnational Project Meeting

The AWARE project held its 3rd Transnational Project Meeting (TNM3) on 29th-30th November 2022.

The meeting was hosted by the Confederazione Italiana Agricoltori Toscana (Italy). Several representatives of six partners from five countries, Ireland, UK, Italy, Belgium and Poland, attended the meeting. The University of Bedfordshire Business School's representatives were Professor Yanqing Duan and Dr Yongmei Bentley.

During the day 1 the partners discussed project progress, including revised timeline, achievements to date, further development of the Intellectual Output 3 (IO3), relevant tasks and general presentation of the IO4 and IO5.

The partners have also reflected on the 2nd Learning, Teaching & Training Activities (LTTA2) and Multiplier Event (ME) that took place on 24th-28th October in Galway, Ireland, and was hosted by the Atlantic Technological University (ATU). The 5-day event was packed with various lectures, talks and presentations from business people, agri-food women entrepreneurs, experts and teachers in entrepreneurship, business studies and management. At the end of the day the partners discussed the final stages of the project: the Multiplier Events to be arranged by all partners at their own countries, dissemination and evaluation activities. The date of the final TNM5 meeting and the project conference in Brussels, Belgium, was also agreed.

During the 2nd day the partners made a study visit to a local farmer Castello del Trebbio in the heart of Chianti Rufina. It is a Biointegrale® winery and farm, and agritourism company. During the tour the partners have been joined by several local female farmer entrepreneurs and researchers from the UNIFI University. One of the researchers, Chiara Vita, introduced a case study on circular economy where side products from olive oil production are used to create food for sport and health therapy.
