Research Centre for Applied Psychology (RCAP)
The School of Psychology research is primarily applied, conducting original studies that address real-world problems. Our mission is to advance knowledge which can positively impact the local, national, and international communities, particularly the most disadvantaged and vulnerable members.
Institute for Sport and Physical Activity Research (ISPAR)
ISPAR embraces a wide range of multi-disciplinary perspectives from the life and biomedical sciences to the social sciences, to seek solutions to the physical inactivity epidemic and enhancement of human performance in a variety of sectors related to sport, education, health and wellbeing.
Institute of Applied Social Research (IASR)
IASR brings together research within the Faculty of Health and Social Sciences, producing work which both anticipates and shapes key changes in policy, administration and practice. In the Research Excellence Framework (REF2021) 81% or our research was assessed to be world-leading or internationally excellent.
