General Teaching Labs

Rooms C015 and C016Computers in a general teaching room

The general teaching rooms are situated on the ground floor in the C000 corridor, the entrance is opposite the entrance to F block by the C block stairs.

  • Room C015 contain 15 HP ProOne All-in-One Desktop Computers with 16 GB Ram
  • Room C016 30 HP ProOne All-in-One Desktop Computers with 16 GB Ram

These rooms are mainly used by the undergraduate classes for the majority of their practical classes.

Networking labs

Room C112c112 lab interior

The test Network lab, room C112 (located on the first floor C100 corridor), is a dedicated facility for the teaching of networking and system administration.

The room has its own internal network independent of the university network. This allows students to have full administrative rights of the machines for the configuration of servers etc.

It is also equipped with its own wireless networks and has network simulation software for student use.

Room C110 is located nearby to room C112 and is similarly equipped with the following:

  • Various Operating Systems
  • Network OS Use of virtual workstations
  • Virtual servers
  • Not part of the University Network

We also have 4 start-of-the-art Cisco Pods with12 Cisco Switches and 12 Cisco Routers, 4 Windows 10 computers to experiment building and troubleshooting networks in a lab environment.
