Staff in this group investigate cognitive, emotional, and evolutionary  processes in a variety of applied and interdisciplinary fields.

Their topics of work include among others autobiographical memory and memory distortions, cognition and old age, belief bias in human reasoning, face recognition, consciousness, epigenetics, brain placticity and speech perception, and drivers' situation awareness.

Staff have collaborated with colleagues from UK and foreign universities such as University of Stirling, University of Cambridge, and University of California.
