Final year Art and Design students celebrated three years of hard work when they presented their work at the Degree Show at the University of Bedfordshire on Thursday, 7 June.
Visitors flocked to the Campus Centre to check out illustrations, paintings and photographs by students from courses within the Division of Art and Design Department, from Animation and Illustration to Interior Design and Fine Art.
They also viewed work from Animation students on the big screen and watched a fashion show where the unique clothing projects of the Fashion Design students were displayed.
Head of Art and Design Colin Davies said: “All the work on display at the show represented the culmination of three years hard graft as our students work to become independent visual artists and designers. We think the professionalism of this year’s exhibition will be great springboard for their future careers.”
“The Campus Centre was a fitting backdrop to this year’s show. Both the work on display and its surroundings represent the aspirational nature of art and design.”
Colin and Vice Chancellor Professor Les Ebdon CBE DL also awarded students who they felt had improved the most during their studies. The award for Best in Show was awarded to Photography and Video Art student Karolina Lebek.
