The strategy will identify new methods and target markets that the company could focus on.

When Trademaid were looking for new and innovative ways of increasing sales, they turned to the University of Bedfordshire for the answers. Trademaid specialise in supplying all non-food essentials, from cleaning and hygiene to glassware and barware.

Alan Clarke, managing director of Trademaid, is no stranger to the University of Bedfordshire, having offered students practice weeks where students can get to solve real business problems. He also recently spoke at a B-Innovative session about how to successfully pitch and the importance of networking.

In order to grow Trademaid further, Alan had to think differently about how to generate new sales and retain existing customers in an increasingly competitive market.

Through working with Dr Linda Lee Davies, Principal Lecturer in Management, Trademaid will have a creative sales strategy generated through a combination of academic expertise and real world experience. This strategy will identify new methods and target markets that the company could focus on.
