The student-led Law Clinic at the University of Bedfordshire will reopen in January to offer free legal support and guidance to the local community.

Law students will provide advice sessions on a range of legal matters around housing, consumer and employment law, with guidance from their lecturers.

The students are also planning fundraising activities for the Luton Law Centre and the Law Works’ Law School Challenge.

Senior Tutor from the University’s School of Law & Finance Sam Hussain said: “Once again we are delighted to be offering legal advice sessions to the community. This is a fantastic opportunity for our students to get experience of working with clients on real legal issues, allowing them to put what they learn in lectures into practice.”

The Clinic offers face to face or phone appointments, which are to be booked in advance, on specific Wednesday afternoons. The session dates for 2018 are:

  • Wednesday 3 January
  • Wednesday 10 January
