We know that our staff, students, alumni, as well our wider communities will have been horrified by the killing of George Floyd in the United States and want you to know that we are also shocked and share your horror.

At the University of Bedfordshire we strive to create a community where everyone feels valued, respected and welcome. We stand against racism and discrimination on any grounds and believe that everyone has the right to live with dignity and without fear.

We also understand that there is much more to be done and we will play our part in promoting inclusive practices to bring about structural and cultural change for the benefit of all.

We are here to support staff and students affected by recent events in the US, or by racism in any form. To speak to someone in confidence, students should email student.engagement@beds.ac.uk while staff can contact uob.hr@beds.ac.uk.
