Majan University College (MUC) was established in 1995 as the Sultanate of Oman’s first private college in the higher education sector, and has continued to be at the forefront of higher education in the Sultanate ever since. In December 2017, Majan achieved institutional accreditation from the Oman Academic Accreditation Authority (OAAA, now OAAAQA), and maintained its reputation as a trailblazer by being the first higher education institution in the country to do so. MUC’s campus is located in Darsait, Muscat, and is home to a multicultural academic community of staff and students from about a dozen countries. Majan is an accredited college of the University of Bedfordshire, UK, and operates under the supervision of Oman’s Ministry of Higher Education, Research and Innovation.

The college offers Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) from the University of Bradford, UK. MUC is a registered tuition provider for the Association of Certified Chartered Accountants (ACCA, UK) examinations, and provides a range of training and consultation services through the Majan Training Unit (MTU). Majan also offers the Certified Management Accountant (CMA) and Certified Islamic Finance Executive (CIFE) programmes. MUC’s dynamic learning environment, featuring modern IT infrastructure, allows staff and students to prosper across the spectrum of teaching, learning and research.
