Southeast Asia Strategic Forum on 'Women, Business and Economic Development'

A group of participants Dr Sandar Win, Senior Lecturer in Banking and Finance, organised the "Southeast Asia Strategic Forum on Women, Business and Economic Development" within the Southeast Asia Conference at the Mathematical Institute, University of Oxford from 14th to 15th of April.

The Southeast Asian Strategic Forum (SSF) was a three day multi-sectoral forum, convened in conjunction with the Southeast Asian Studies Symposium.

A group of participants sitting at a tableUnlike the Symposium, which is primarily a broad-based academic conference, the Strategic Forum focuses on a single theme, seeks to bring together leaders from different sectors (business, politics, academia, and civil society) into a constructive discussion aimed at producing a clear map for producing positive outcomes and contributing solutions to our most pressing issues.

It was well attended by policy makers, practitioners, academics and businesses.
