Dr Renxi Qiu

Dr Renxi Qiu BSc, MSc, PhD, is a Senior Lecturer in computer science. He was the coordinator of the 1st European project on semi-autonomous robots called SRS which has partners from 12 top research institutes across the Europe. His research has been focused on the development of a semi-autonomous control framework by combining the advantages of both fully-autonomous systems and remotely-controlled systems.

During the past years, Dr Qiu has secured more than one million pounds of external funding as principal investigator (PI), co-PI or coordinator. His work has been presented in Europa House at Tokyo as a successful story of European robotics and in House of Lord at London for possible solutions of technology-supported living.
