Martine Wilkinson
Tutor in Health and Social Care
I joined the University of Bedfordshire in 2020. Prior to this I worked for 9 years as a senior lecturer at the University of Winchester on the Social Work programme and the Childhood, Youth and Community Studies Programme where I was also Programme Leader.
I have a degree in Psychology and throughout my social work career held an interest in health, working in physical and learning disability teams and within hospital settings. I was a manager of both community care and hospital social work teams across several local authorities.
I have taught undergraduate and postgraduate students and was dissertation supervisor across social work and CYCS. I enjoy working with students at all levels, supporting them to develop into confident practitioners and make a positive impact within the field of health and social care, whilst they in turn support service users and carers to achieve the best outcomes. I became a Teaching Fellow in 2012.
