Neville Palmer
Senior Lecturer in Child and Adolescent Studies
I have worked in the field of Youth and Community work for over 20 years and have been involved in a variety of youth projects with young people during that time.
These projects have ranged from setting up street work projects (detached youth work) to single gendered residential work with young men. I also spent three years working with young offenders in the Northamptonshire Youth Offending Team where I was able to provide and involve young people in diversionary programmes which were multi agency based.
Prior to joining the University of Bedfordshire I also managed a team of youth workers in central Northampton where our work included the setting up of provisions for asylum seeking young people and programmes linked to the reduction of anti social behaviour within the town centre.
