Professor Jun Peng
Professor in Engineering
Professor Peng started his professorship in the University of Bedfordshire in June 2017. Prior to his current role; he has been a lecturer since 2004 and a senior lecturer since 2007 in the School of Engineering and Design, University of Sussex.
His research activities are mainly on sustainable energy technology, sustainable vehicle powertrains and vehicle energy efficiency technology, with both experimental investigation and numerical simulations including CFD modelling.
Prof Peng acquired his industry experience as a senior powertrain development engineer at the Dunton Technical Centre of the Ford Motor Company between May 2003 and September 2004.

Research Interests
Experimental investigation (including various laser diagnostics) and numerical simulation (including LES, DNS, etc.) on fluid dynamics, thermodynamics, heat transfer, flows and Combustion in combustion engines, and sustainable energy technology (including exhaust energy recovery, solar energy, etc.).

- Fellow of IMechE (Institution of Mechanical Engineers).
