The NHS Community Diagnostic Centre

Luton – Block C – Ground & First Floor

As part of our partnership with Bedfordshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, we've agreed in principle to use part of our Luton campus as the site for a new Community Diagnostics Centre (CDC).

The CDC will provide modern healthcare facilities for endoscopy, CT scanning and bone density scanning (Dexa), helping to strengthen the region’s overall healthcare infrastructure.

Works about to commence will occur in two phases:

  • Phase 1 (by December 2025): Enabling and strip out works to the ground and first floor of C Block and relocating CST to G Block by the University.
  • Phase 2 (January 2026 to December 2026): the new CDC with Endoscopy, CT Scanning and bone density scanning (DEXA) works will be constructed by the Trust.

The CDC will occupy the ground and first floors of C Block and have its own dedicated entrance.

Moot Court

Luton – H Block – H217

The current Moot Court room is being transformed and refurbished into a fresh and upgraded space. The room currently serves as a multi-purpose room, part classroom and part courtroom but upon completion, the room will only serve as a courtroom for special practices and events within the Law Faculty. Completion is expected mid September 2025.

Paramedics Skills Lab

Bedford – Gateway

To accommodate the increased intake of Paramedic students, we are constructing new Paramedic Skills Training suites in Gateway on the second floor. We expect this project to complete September 2025.
