BMRI Research seminar by Dr Tom Kirkham from Science & Technologies Facilities Council

The Business & Management Research Institute (BMRI) arranged a research seminar by Dr Tom Kirkham (Business Development Manager, Hartree Centre, Science & Technologies Facilities Council) in Luton on Wednesday 25th April 2018.

The seminar was titled “An introduction to the emerging ideas of Blockchain and High Performance Computing for Business & Management”. Tom introduced the emerging ideas of blockchains and discussed their relevance in today’s world. He also presented the perspective of the Science & Technology Facilities Council (STFC) on Data Provenance and Trust.

Finally, he discussed business potential with some examples from his experience as business development manager. The seminar was attended by staff members, PGR students and MBA students in the business school.
