Academic Scholarships Terms and Conditions

Academic Scholarships are only available to Home/EU students who meet the following eligibility criteria.

You must:

  • be registered on an eligible course based at the University of Bedfordshire’s Luton, Bedford or Milton Keynes campus
  • commence your degree studies in the academic year 2018/19
  • be paying the maximum tuition fee for Home/EU students
  • have a UCAS tariff point score that meets the criteria set out below
  • be a new entrant student to the University for the 2018/19 academic year who has not previously studied at the University of Bedfordshire.
  • meet any additional standard course entry requirements e.g. GCSE Maths
  • be a - Home fee payer resident in the UK at application.
  • be paying the maximum tuition fee for UK/EU students of £9250.  The University reserves the right to review the Scholarship and Bursary Package in the event that this maximum fee is reduced by the UK Government or other third parties

Students will be notified via email.

If your results are not confirmed to us via UCAS, we will contact you to request copies of your Examination results and you will be required to produce the originals at Registration.

You are not eligible for an Academic Scholarship if you are:

  • an overseas or ELQ fee payer (equivalent level qualification)
  • studying at a University study centre or with a University partner
  • not in good financial standing with the University

The University reserves the right to withhold payment of the scholarship if scholarship holders withdraw, interrupt, not attend or otherwise do not progress satisfactorily. Receipt of the scholarship does not preclude students from applying for additional scholarships and bursaries.

This scholarship is not payable during a year out from on campus taught study and for which the tuition fee is £0 (such as the Professional Practice Year).
