Innovation Bridge is a three-year £3.9m project, funded through the EU’s European Regional Development Fund (financially administered by SEMLEP and the Department of Communities and Local Government) and runs until summer 2019.
It offers access to specialist university expertise and grants and has the University of Bedfordshire, Anglia Ruskin University and the University of Suffolk as its delivery partners.
The project provides an initial free business review and then the support of a University academic to develop an innovation action plan to support the growth of the business. Following the action plan, there is a potential grant element which can offer up to 30% of the costs of the implementation of the plan.
Projects run by the University of Bedfordshire Business School under Innovation Bridge cover a wide range of business disciplines including productivity and efficiency management, application of information technology and web analytics, digital marketing, social media marketing and similar.
Innovation Bridge is as the name suggests an opportunity for local SMEs to engage with the Business School over a longer period and many companies take advantage of the potential to access student talent through our projects and placements, whilst others look to secure advanced funding pools and knowledge exchange projects.
