Sustainable Development Strategy
The University of Bedfordshire recognises the importance of sustainable development for current and future students and that our actions and decisions have a direct impact on our local and global societies and economies, as well as the environment and its natural resources.
Our strategy sets out how to build on achievements and current initiatives to enhance the sustainability of the institution. Our commitment to sustainable development will not be limited to the University’s operations and infrastructure but will be reflected on in course offerings, extra-curriculum offerings and teaching and learning practices.
As an academic institution we recognise our responsibility to ensure that our graduates have a sound understanding of the importance of sustainable development to enhance their role as global citizens and their employability, preparing them to adapt and be resilient to changing and uncertain futures.
