Our multi-disciplinary Sustainability Forum is holding a University-wide event at our Luton campus on Wednesday 6 March 2019.

  • Wednesday 6th March 2019
  • 9.00am - 6.30pm
  • Postgraduate Centre
  • Luton campus
  • LU1 3JU

The event will deepen knowledge and understanding of the contexts and extent of forced migration and human rights atrocities and abuses occurring in different regions across the globe.

Students and academics from disciplines in all faculties will participate. Former survivors of war and violations, representatives from local and national organisations, and local Councilors will join us. Collectively we will learn about the contexts of forced migration and human rights atrocities and abuses occurring across the globe and explore the consequences for individuals, families and our transnational communities.

Through interactive and participatory sessions, a play and comedy, we will identify key challenges, actions and good practices which shine an authentic light on events, respond responsibly to needs and international commitments, and create connections of solidarity.
