The International Centre was commissioned by the Scottish Government to support the development of a revised national definition of CSE and an associated professional briefing paper.

CSE Practitioner Guidance - England

The International Centre in partnership with Research in Practice and with consultancy provided by Professor Julia Davidson at the University of Middlesex have been commissioned by the Department for Education to develop new Practitioner Guidance on CSE to be published alongside a revised definition of CSE.

The Luxembourg Guidelines

The Terminology Guidelines is an initiative by ECPAT International and partners to harmonise terms and definitions related to child protection internationally. The 'Terminology Guidelines for the Protection of Children from Sexual Exploitation and Sexual Abuse' were adopted by the Interagency Working Group in Luxembourg, 28 January 2016.  The International Centre was an expert observer to the project and advised on the definitions of CSE.
