To be eligible for a Sport Scholarship, you must:

• be of a regional, county, national or international standard or have played in BUCS within the last 12 months
• successfully accepted onto one of the University’s full-time courses or already on a course
• be a home, EU or international student
• be an undergraduate or postgraduate student.

Talented Performance Award

• You must be selected to represent the University in a British Universities & Colleges Sport (BUCS) team or event.
• Have played the sport in the past 12 months. This can be for the University or your local club.
• You must be enrolled as a University of Bedfordshire student.

Talented Sport Coach or Official Award

• You mush have a level one or equivalent NGB qualification.
• You must be enrolled as a University of Bedfordshire student.

Gold Performance Sport Scholarship

• You must play your sport at a county, regional or appropriate global standard. This should have been within the last 12 months or due to start in the up and coming season.
• You must be enrolled as a University of Bedfordshire student.

Football Gold Performance Sport Scholarship

• You must play football at a county, regional or appropriate global standard. This should have been within the last 12 months or due to start in the up and coming season.
• You must be enrolled as a University of Bedfordshire student.
• You have to be enrolled on a School of Sport Science & Physical Activity course

Rugby Union Gold Performance Sport Scholarship

• You must play rugby union at a county, regional or appropriate global standard. This should have been within the last 12 months or due to start in the up and coming season.
• You must be enrolled as a University of Bedfordshire student.
• You have to be enrolled on a School of Sport Science & Physical Activity course

Gold Official Sport Scholarship

• You must be officiating at county, regional or appropriate global standard. This should have been within the last 12 months or due to start in the up and coming season.
• You must be enrolled as a University of Bedfordshire student.

Platinum Performance Sport Scholarship

• You must be playing at a national, international or equivalent standard.
• You must be enrolled as a University of Bedfordshire student.

The University has seven possible Sport Scholarships on offer. They are designed to support and develop students in their chosen sports. The Scholarships are for sport performers, coaches and officials. Students may only apply for one level of performance award or one level of coach/official award in each academic year.
