Club information

The Athletics team can enter into three events over the year (Indoors, Outdoors & X-Country). Whether you are the best in your discipline or just want to improve your PB's, we welcome all students to join us and represent the University. BUCS run both able bodied and Para events, so there is something for everyone.

We have strong links with Bedford and County Athletics Clubs and can always use their expertise whenever we need some advice or help.

Venue

We are based at the Bedford International Athletics Stadium, located a 10-minute walk from Bedford campus at MK41 9SB. There are frequent trains from Luton, and a free University bus from the Bedford train station that stops at the main campus, making it an easy venue to get to.

Not based at the Bedford Campus? Get in touch via competitivesport@beds.ac.uk and we can see what support can be offered.

Regular Training times

Athletics works slightly differently to other sports. Your membership fee will cover the cost of a track pass for you to be able to use the facilities. Once you have one, you're free to use the track whenever you like during their opening hours.
