The Bedfordshire Career Development Award

Employers look for more than your degree result; what else do you have to offer? By taking part in the Bedfordshire Career Development Award, we will celebrate with you as you work to gain the skills and experience sought by employers across all sectors.

The award is designed to help you identify and build on the skills and strengths you have gained through your degree, and through participation in extra-curricular activities, volunteering, work experience, part-time work and much more.

You will probably already have experiences that will be recognised and help make you more employable. We aim to help you understand what employers will value and ensure you can promote yourself well when the time comes, including having a strong CV and LinkedIn account.

What do I have to do?

The award is made up of 3 levels – the Bronze, Silver and Gold level. Each level represents 3 important stages of career development and are designed to help you explore your career options, plan and prepare for your future, and achieve your career goals.

On completion of all levels, you will receive a certificate and digital badge that you can add to your LinkedIn account to impress potential future recruiters.

To access and complete the award, all you need to do is login to our Careersonline platform; careersonline.beds.ac.uk and select Awards on the homepage. If you are a student, please login using your student username and password. If you are a graduate, please register via the Alumni login page.
